Dear Athena

I have been reading your blogs and enjoying them thoroughly. I have only seen them for the first time today and have subscribed to your RSS feed. I look forward to reading your thoughts.

I would like to give you a word of encouragement. I also write blogs and thousands of people read them. Unfortunately, I never receive any feedback from the people who read them. I am encouraged by the fact that people do continue to read them and keep coming back for more. (www.sermonaudio.com/graceunlimited)

Please continue to write with the enthusiasm and God-glorifying intentions I have seen in your blogs, you have been such an encouragement to me.

The reason I came to your blogs is because I hope to soon publish a book with Pleasant Word. I have found such a friendly spirit at your press. I have been communicating with Tammy Hopf.

With love and joy in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ,

Alan Lester

Thank you so much! This information was so helpful and I really enjoy reading the motivational letters from Athena Dean. It is a positive spin on a world that is so foreign and frightening to an inexperienced author. I always walk away from the computer with a sense of, 'I can do this!' (your title is appropriate!)

It is a wonderful thing to reach out and touch others in a profound way, and that is what is being done here. So from my desk top to yours, thank-you!

Athena,

I was so excited to get this article. I have thought about these ideas myself and didn't know if they were acceptable or not in the writing world. I can't wait until I get my first books published and on their way. You have opened a whole new world for me because I can see that I am on the right track. Hooray!! and Thank you for your perserverance in getting help out to all of writers! We love you!

Paulette Harris

Hi Athena!

I really enjoyed your lastest newsletter on booksignings at Barnes and Noble. I didn't know that about the 15 sold books to be a success. Good to know.

Anyway, I really enjoy reading your newsletter. Since you share my passion for Christian Writing and getting Christ-centered books in the hands of readers I thought you'd enjoy these tidbits I've picked up along the way. May God richly bless you.

In Christ,

Brooke

Hi Athena!

Some great ideas! I particularly like the one about RVing.....I'll keep working on my wife about that one.

Thanks for the time you invest in You Can Do It!

Wow -- what an upper, Athena -- and so true, especially the Scriptural application!
You're the best, Millie Samuelson

Dear Athena....just a note to say how much I enjoy your posts. They are more helpful than any other source I have seen. Betty Beisterveld

Dear Athena,

Thanks! That was helpful. After zipping my e-mail off to you I found the site with your You Can Do It posts. I stayed up late reading all the back issues! It really was most informative and helpful.

My husband and I are missionaries to Venezuela with New Tribes Mission. We are only home for six and a half months. My book, BETRAYED, was printed through your Pleasant Word division before I arrived home so 25 copies were waiting for me. Then began the formidable learning curve of Annual Resale Certificates for Sales Tax, complicated by the fact that we're "resident enough" in 2 states for these months! (Florida and New York)

After selling books to those I knew wanted them, I'm trying to figure out if I can fit in other avenues of marketing. It's been...a learning experience! A stretching experience! Your articles gave me more ideas, that's for sure. Thanks!

In Him,
Rosie Cochran

These are very good, Athena. Hope you have time to keep them going.

Dear Ms. Dean:

God bless you. I love your newsletter already. Thank you.

Taking it in prayer,

Good word, Athena. That is exactly how my fiction books are written, to deal with secular issues in a secular world with real Christians in the plot. I can't wait to finish typing up my book so that you all can read it and we can get started on our publishing journey together.

In Him,
Joshua Wheeler

Athena:

Thank you so much for the "You Can Do It" posts. So uplifting
... informative ... enlightening (I thought about the donkey all last week,
how terrific).

I'm looking for a place to do research. I'm trying to write a research
piece. I've gotten together an letter of introduction, release form, and
the research questions. I'm having a difficult time knowing where to hook
up with Christian readers to see if they'd be interested in participating
in the research.

I looked thru your site and signed up with FaithWriters.com, but that isn't
exactly what I need for this particular situation. I've looked at a
variety of Christian magazines, but it didn't look too inviting. I'd like
to say cost was no object, but unfortunately, that isn't the case. Can you
turn me toward any Christian-based research facility that works via
mail/e-mail/phone?

Any help you can give me (or direct me to) would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

And thanks again for just being there ... you are making a difference!

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour,

May i tell you that God has been the source of your message. it is quite intresting to note from some of the articles i have received so far from you that you are christian to the core and that the most important thing you want everybody to know is that spreading the Gospel of Jesus is much more important than the money or gain anyone should hope to get from writing Christian books.

God bless you richly.
